April is APR Month!

Contributed by Patricia Howard, APR

In April, the Public Relations Society of America recognizes the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) creditial. The APR sets apart public relations professionals as leaders and mentors in the field. Building on the foundation of an educational degree, the APR keeps public relations professionals current on best practices and applications in the ever-evolving communications world.

For the public relations professional, the APR creditial symbolizes distinction and demonstrates the mastery of strategic communications and commitment to lifelong learning and ethical standards.

Congratulations to Central Iowa Chapter's 62 APRs! Based on the national membership roster, the Central Iowa Chapter ranks third in the nation for percentage of members who have earned their APR. These members demonstrate their dedication to the public relations profession through their mastery of strategic communications and commitment to lifelong learning and ethical standards. These members also serve as mentors to chapter members interested earning their APR.
