By 2019, it is estimated that 80 percent of all Internet traffic will be video. The problem? Most of us don't know how to make quality videos.
In this hands-on workshop, Drake University associate professor Chris Snider will provide tips and tools for making compelling videos using your smartphone. You'll learn about core video techniques as well as apps and hardware to turn your phone into a high-end production machine.
About Chris Snider
Chris Snider is an associate professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Drake University. He teaches classes in multimedia, social media and web design. Prior to joining Drake, he was a digital editor at The Des Moines Register and editor of Juice Magazine. Read more about Chris on his website.
Committee Volunteers Needed!
With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are huge to you, your family, and your community. It can help reduce stress, present networking opportunities, allow you to learn new skills and improve your overall health and well-being. And, PRSA Central Iowa has an opportunity for you to get involved!
The OctoPRfest and awards committee is looking for volunteers. Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist in the coordination of OctoPRfest by working on communication pieces, soliciting speakers, help awards chair coordinate awards and work closely with the sponsorship committee.
If you would like more information or are interested in volunteering, please contact Teresa Roof, APR.
