Letter from the President

With vacation plans and summer schedules in full swing, it’s hard to believe that school begins again in just a few short weeks. In Iowa, we are blessed with many great educational opportunities for learners at any stage of their careers.

Whether it’s a graduate degree, short-term, intensive certificate programs, or professional development conferences with global speakers, we’ve gathered a list of opportunities that may inspire you to ‘hit the books’ this fall.

Getting to Grips with Social PR

"Social media" is no longer something "the kids" do; it's part and parcel of 21st-century communications.

Yet even today, many practitioners don't adequately harness the true power and promise of social technologies for their work, still functioning in somewhat of a silo, instead of as Social PR Superheroes.

At this event, join Shonali Burke, ABC, an award-winning and globally-recognized Social PR strategist, teacher and trainer, to learn:

  • What true "Social PR" is and isn't, as she walks you through her 7C Social PR Framework.
  • How smart measurement - that does not have to break the bank - can help you showcase your work more effectively to clients.
  • The secret sauce to building inspired communities of influence, which are at the core of successful Social PR.

Register today.
