Alternate panel presentation, testing options for APR candidates now available
There are now two ways to take the Examination for Accredited in Public Relations (EAPR). Candidates have the option to take the EAPR either in a Prometric Testing Center or remotely through Prometric’s ProProctor application. For a remote proctored exam, candidates must supply the computer with a camera, microphone and an internet connection and be able to install a lightweight app prior to the test event. For information about both options, see www.prometric.com/pruab.
If you are a candidate that needs to give your Panel Presentation, the Central Iowa chapter can now administer virtual panel presentations using Zoom, WebEx, GoToMeeting or another virtual platform. Please contact Christina Gayman ([email protected]) to arrange details if you are ready to proceed, or have any questions about these new options.
As public relations professionals, it is part of our professional duty to build trust, respect and credibility for ourselves and the organizations we represent. Kathy Krafka Harkema, PRSA Central Iowa ethics chair, offers advice on how communications professionals can achieve a higher level of trust by upholding professional ethics.
As we continue to deal with COVID-19 and its impact on our personal and professional lives, PRSA reached out to communications professionals in a variety of industries to hear about their experiences. This month, we’re featuring Jordan Powers, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Des Moines Art Center.
